Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy came up short against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 26-24, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Elyria Catholic had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since October 8, 2024.

Elyria Catholic wouldn't go down easily and took Lake Catholic into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-16, 25-16, 26-28, 15-9.

Elyria Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Elyria Catholic in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Royals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
