Basketball Recap: All Saints Episcopal Comes Up Short

All Saints Episcopal lost against Tyler HEAT last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The All Saints Episcopal Trojans took a hard 53-39 fall against Tyler HEAT. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 476th, while Tyler HEAT are ranked 94th).

Tyler HEAT had a senior duo take command as Waker Hartman went 7 of 15 on his way to 17 points and seven boards and Eli Anderson went 5 of 11 on his way to 10 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. Anderson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kedren Penney, who posted nine points.

All Saints Episcopal has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Tyler HEAT, they pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road.

All Saints Episcopal will welcome Bishop Gorman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Bishop Gorman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games. As for Tyler HEAT, they will face off against Marshall Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on January 11th.
