Softball Recap: Medomak Valley Takes Down Leavitt in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Medomak Valley had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Leavitt Hornets. Considering the Panthers have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Medomak Valley is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Leavitt, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-4.

Looking ahead, Medomak Valley will challenge York at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. Leavitt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
