Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Fernando Garcia and Nashon Mann Lead GVCS Broadfording to Victory

GVCS Broadfording had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 71-45 margin over the Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers on Thursday. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

GVCS Broadfording was led to victory by Nashon Mann and Fernando Garcia. Mann dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds, while Garcia posted 17 points and three steals. Garcia is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Shane Hill, who earned seven points.

GVCS Broadfording now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Cumberland Valley Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

GVCS Broadfording won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Shalom Christian Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cumberland Valley Christian, they and Faith Christian Academy will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
