Softball Recap: Woodmore Wildcats vs. Lakota Raiders
Woodmore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 16-5 walloping at the hands of the Lakota Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Woodmore of the 13-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
For Lakota's part, Kailynn Smith was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and a triple. Smith hasn't dropped below three hits for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Stoudinger, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, a triple, and a run.
Woodmore's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Lakota, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-10-1.
