Softball Recap: Princeton Gets the Win

Princeton won against Quincy on Thursday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Princeton came out on top against the Weed Cougars by a score of 9-5. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 13-5 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Princeton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reyna Sullivan, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Princeton and bumps their season record up to 3-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Weed, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Princeton has already played their next game, an 18-5 defeat against Portola on the 22nd. As for Weed, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-4 win against Redding Christian on the 21st.
