Volleyball Game Preview: Salado Eagles vs. Liberty Hill Panthers

Salado hasn't had much luck against Liberty Hill recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will take on the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. Liberty Hill took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Salado, who comes in off a win.

Salado not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 11, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Lake Belton with a sharp 3-0 victory. Surprisingly, this marked the Eagles' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Salado got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 33-31, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Liberty Hill came up short against Austin on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 25-19.

Salado pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Liberty Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Salado couldn't quite get it done against Liberty Hill when the teams last played back in September of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
