Volleyball Recap: Strasburg Indians vs. Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors
After flying high against St. Mary's Academy on Saturday, Strasburg came back down to earth. The Indians fell just short of the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.
Strasburg took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-18, 22-25, 25-19, 15-9.

Jenna Echer and Laci Zimmerman certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Echer had 15 digs and eight aces, while Zimmerman had 17 kills, four aces, three digs, and one block. Zimmerman has been hot, having posted five or more kills the last eight times she's played.
Eagle Ridge Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keilyn Greenfield led the charge by getting ten digs and four aces.
Strasburg's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, their win ended an eight-match drought on the road and puts them at 9-14.
Strasburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, after both having extra time off, they and Resurrection Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
