Basketball Game Preview: DSST: Montview Knights vs. Lamar Thunder

The DSST: Montview Knights will challenge the Lamar Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

DSST: Montview is headed into Friday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-35 heartbreaker at the hands of Regis Groff.

Meanwhile, Lamar came up short against Colorado Springs Christian on Saturday and fell 51-43. The loss continues a trend for the Thunder in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost seven in a row.

DSST: Montview will need to focus on slowing down Carlin Weber, one of several Lamar players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave Weber a new career-high. Brooklyn Robbins was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

DSST: Montview's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Lamar, their loss dropped their record down to 18-5.
