Softball Recap: Linn Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Linn entered their tilt with Helias on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Crusaders. Four seems to be a good number for the Wildcats as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Sophia Voss made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Voss was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Emma Starke was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Heslie Higginbotham also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Linn's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Helias, their loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3.

Coming up, Linn will venture away from home to face off against Blair Oaks at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Helias, they will head out on the road to take on Camdenton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
