Softball Recap: Putnam County Takes a Loss

Putnam County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-1 to the Seneca Fighting Irish. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Irish this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 last Tuesday.

Putnam County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Seneca, their win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Putnam County will welcome Illinois Valley Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Seneca, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Henry-Senachwine at 4:30 p.m.
