Softball Recap: Harrison Central Has No Trouble Against Gulfport

Harrison Central's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to West Harrison on Tuesday. The Red Rebels were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Gulfport Admirals. The game marked the Red Rebels' most dominant victory of the season.

Gabrielle Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Smith was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kassidy Paris, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Emilye Seiferd was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Harrison Central's win bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Gulfport, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10.
