Recap: Brookwood Panthers vs. Bibb County Choctaws
The Brookwood Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Bibb County at home and fell 62-32. While losing is never fun, Brookwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 345th, while Bibb County is ranked 144th).
Brookwood lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taylor Crummie, who scored ten points. Leland Foster was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Brookwood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Bibb County, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Brookwood will be playing at home against Northside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bibb County, Bibb County and American Christian Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. American Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Bibb County likes a good challenge.
