Assumption Academy can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Monday. They secured a 56-52 W over the Shawe Memorial Hilltoppers. For Assumption Academy, this counts as revenge for the 60-51 victory Shawe Memorial walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Assumption Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Shawe Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
