Ironton strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Dawson-Bryant Hornets as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The Fighting Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

Ironton pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Dawson-Bryant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-5-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ironton will square off against rival Gallia Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Dawson-Bryant is set to face off against their familiar foe Rock Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
