Volleyball Recap: Bluffton Tigers vs. Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Braves

Bluffton had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Braves on Saturday. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Braves from their previous meeting back in October of 2017.

Khloe Gehrett paced Bluffton's offense, picking up five kills. Gehrett got some help from Isla Gibson and her ten assists. Finally, Breeanna Schmidt kept Bluffton's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian found their leader in sophomore Myllah Sommer, who had six digs, two blocks, and two aces. Sommer has been hot, having also posted 15 or more assists the last five times she's played.

Bluffton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Garrett on the 16th.
