Nazareth Academy entered their tilt with Hersey on Monday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They strolled past the Hersey Huskies with points to spare, taking the game 58-40. Given the Roadrunners' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Huskies are ranked 75th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Nazareth Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Hersey, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nazareth Academy will venture away from home to square off against Marist at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hersey, they will take on Elk Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
