Whitfield and St. Pius X are an even 3-3-1 against one another since September of 2015, but likely not for long. The Warriors will challenge the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Whitfield has given up an average of 6 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Whitfield managed to keep up with Parkway Central until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Warriors lost 5-2 to the Colts. While losing is never fun, Whitfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 175th, while Parkway Central are ranked 22nd).

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for St. Pius X's offense. They fell just short of Union by a score of 1-0 on Saturday.

St. Pius X has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-2 record this season. As for Whitfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Whitfield came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Pius X in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
