Football Recap: Caitlyn Penate and Ayanna Roquemore Secure Win for South Hills

South Hills had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They strolled past the Wilson Mules with points to spare, taking the game 21-7. That's two games straight that the Huskies have won by exactly 14 points.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Ayanna Roquemore and Caitlyn Penate. Roquemore rushed for 84 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries while Penate rushed for 27 yards and one score.

South Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Nadia Kenney and Ryleigh Lindsey.

South Hills' victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Wilson, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.

South Hills didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-6 win against Lincoln on the 13th. As for Wilson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 20-0 victory against Hawthorne on the 13th.
