Basketball Recap: Jocelyn Lincoln's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kearney over Park Hill

Kearney lost against Park Hill back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Kearney Bulldogs received a blow as they fell 53-35 to the Park Hill Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Trojans are ranked 58th).

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jocelyn Lincoln, who posted ten points and five rebounds. That's the most points Lincoln has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedi Casey, who had ten points.

Kearney has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Park Hill, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kearney has already played their next game (against Excelsior Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Park Hill won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
