Basketball Recap: Davis Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Davis won the last time they faced American Fork and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Davis Darts walked away with a 47-36 victory over the American Fork Cavemen. The win was nothing new for the Darts as they're now sitting on four straight.

Davis was led to victory by T'Maea Eteuati and Kate Willard. Eteuati posted 17 points along with eight boards and three steals, while Willard went 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Eteuati has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Plummer, who had six points.

Davis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in nine consecutive matches.

Davis pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for American Fork, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davis will host Fremont at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Fremont will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Davis surely won't give up without a fight. As for American Fork, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lehi at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
