Softball Recap: Summit Spartans vs. Centennial Cougars
Summit entered their tilt with Centennial with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Centennial Cougars 9-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Summit also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.
Summit got a massive performance out of Tarek Scherr, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, a triple, and an RBI. Saniya Hunter was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Summit has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Summit will challenge Brentwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centennial, they will head out on the road to square off against Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
