On Friday Evan Johnson racked up double-digit total tackles for the very first time. He made 12 total tackles (1.0 for loss), but sadly Shawnee Heights still had to take a 43-29 loss at the hands of Leavenworth. That new high-mark topped his previous career-best: five total tackles, set last Friday.

Looking ahead, Johnson and Shawnee Heights will look to defend their home field on Friday against De Soto at 7:00 p.m. Johnson had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their contest back in October of 2024 69-57.
