Baseball Recap: Slocomb Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Slocomb managed to slip by Providence Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Red Tops came up short against the Eagles on Thursday, falling 26-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Tops have suffered since March 6th.

Luke Goodman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 2-for-5. Brody Keel was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

Slocomb's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Providence Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-11.

While Slocomb had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
