Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Ponderosa walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Antelope Titans with a sharp 20-8 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Kate McCartney, who fired off three home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Bella Adams was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ponderosa kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 13-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory was the tenth in a row for Ponderosa, bringing their record up to 15-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Antelope, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Coming up, Ponderosa will face off against Merced at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Bruins surely won't give up without a fight. Antelope does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
