Basketball Recap: Gardiner Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Gardiner Tigers were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-52 to the Freeport Falcons. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gardiner now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Freeport, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.

Gardiner will square off against Hampden at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hampden will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Gardiner surely won't give up without a fight. As for Freeport, they will take on Yarmouth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
