Basketball Game Preview: Cupertino Pioneers vs. MacDonald Condor

The Cupertino Pioneers will face off against the MacDonald Condor at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cupertino is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Cupertino is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Homestead on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Cupertino had to suffer through a 52-9 loss at the hands of Homestead. The Pioneers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-4.

Houma Yoshimochi was Cupertino's leading scorer, having posted four points. Jasper Khoo held things down on the boards with three rebounds.

Meanwhile, MacDonald ended up a good deal behind Fremont on Friday and lost 62-48. The Condor have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

MacDonald's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Cupertino, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Cupertino beat MacDonald 49-39 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cupertino since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
