Softball Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Gresham's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Gresham unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Sandy Pioneers, falling 14-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Gophers have suffered since March 19th.

Gresham saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Despina Seufalemua, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Another was La Terra Foster-Frison, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Gresham's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Sandy, their record now sits at 15-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Gresham is set to face off against their familiar foe Barlow at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sandy will challenge rival Nelson on Tuesday.
