Basketball Recap: Elyria Extends Home Winning Streak to 13

Elyria extended their home winning streak to 13 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Kendyll Compton. The Elyria Pioneers had just enough and edged the North Ridgeville Rangers out 66-64 thanks in part to Compton, who went 10 for 17 en route to 25 points along with eight boards and three blocks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in blocks.

Another player making a difference was Jayden Crutcher, who went 8 of 20 on his way to 22 points. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Elyria has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for North Ridgeville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Elyria will head out to challenge Avon Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Ridgeville has already played their next game, an 87-82 victory against Brookside on the 1st.
