Volleyball Game Preview: Grand Island Islanders vs. Millard West Wildcats

Grand Island is 0-8 against Millard West since October of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Islanders will host the Wildcats.

Grand Island saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to Columbus.

Grand Island was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Millard West waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win. The Wildcats not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0).

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Millard West took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-14, 25-7.

Millard West's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Grand Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.
