Softball Recap: Pinconning Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Pinconning finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They fell just short of the St. Louis Sharks by a score of 1-0. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Sharks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Pinconning's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7-1. As for St. Louis, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-4-1.

Coming up, Pinconning will head out on the road to square off against Glenn at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.44 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Louis, they have already played their next game, a 20-3 win against Breckenridge on the 9th.
