Softball Recap: Eastwood Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Eastwood can now relate to. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Frenship Tigers on Friday. If the Troopers were looking for revenge after losing 6-2 to the Tigers when the teams met back in May of 2015, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Eastwood and nudges their season record down to 28-6-1. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Frenship, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat Eastwood by a score of 20-10 on Saturday.
