Recap: Bishop Manogue Miners vs. Reno Huskies
The Bishop Manogue Miners were the 81-67 winner over the Reno Huskies when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Bishop Manogue opened the new year with a less-than-successful 49-39 loss to Reno. Bishop Manogue just can't catch a break and has now endured five losses in a row.
Despite the defeat, Bishop Manogue had strong showings from Pele Masina, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds, and Chase Debruin, who scored six points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamahl Jackson, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Bishop Manogue's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-11. As for Reno, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Manogue will take on Carson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carson is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Reno, they will be playing at home against McQueen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
