Softball Recap: Hesperia Takes a Loss

Hesperia couldn't beat Mason County Central on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Panthers lost 17-8 to the Spartans. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 11-8.

Hesperia's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Mason County Central, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

The future could be bright for both Hesperia and Mason County Central: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Panthers will try to hand Muskegon their ninth-straight defeat when the two meet at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mason County Central will look to extend Brethren's five-game losing streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
