Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart Academy Takes a Loss

Sacred Heart Academy suffered their biggest defeat since February 28, 2024 on Friday. They lost 62-38 to the Barry County Christian Eagles. While losing is never fun, Sacred Heart Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 469th, while Barry County Christian is ranked 106th).

Sacred Heart Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Barry County Christian, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sacred Heart Academy will square off against Algoma Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Algoma Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.7 points per game this season. As for Barry County Christian, they will face off against Marshall Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
