Softball Recap: Courtland Takes a Loss

Courtland and Atlee squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Courtland had to settle for second. They lost 10-3 to the Raiders. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Courtland saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashlyn Giessman, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double was Giessman's first of the season.

Courtland's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Atlee, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Courtland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Atlee has already played their next game (against King George), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
