Football Game Preview: Glades Central Raiders vs. Pahokee Blue Devils + Official Tickets

Two dominant backs in Armaud Stinfort and Samuel Arnold are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Glades Central Raiders are taking a road trip to take on the Pahokee Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Glades Central has played have been within three points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Glades Central gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out King's Academy 22-19. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Lions are ranked 209th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

A big part of Glades Central's victory came down to the chemistry between Taj Barnes and his top target Algernod Crawford. Barnes threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns while completing 74.2% of his passes while Crawford picked up 133 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Those 133 receiving yards gave Crawford a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Pahokee got themselves on the board against Legacy on Thursday, but Legacy never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lions 47-0. The contest marked the Blue Devils' most dominant win of the season.

Pahokee pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.2 points over those games. As for Glades Central, their record is now 8-1.

Glades Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Pahokee when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 23-16. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
