Football Recap: Gateway Olympians vs. Highlands Ranch Falcons
Gateway had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 49-0 defeat at the hands of the Highlands Ranch Falcons on Friday.
Crew Gerig had a dynamite game for Highlands Ranch, throwing for 106 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Jaden Pujia was in the mix too, providing Highlands Ranch with three touchdowns.
The win snapped Highlands Ranch's losing streak at six games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-1 record.
Gateway will host Greeley West at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Highlands Ranch, they will take on Aurora Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
