Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Christian Academy lost against Bishop Gorman back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cornerstone Christian Academy Warriors fell to the Bishop Gorman Crusaders 46-41.

Bishop Gorman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Halle Lowe out in front who posted 12 points and six rebounds. Lowe is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Amelia Meads was another key player, putting up 12 points along with five boards and three steals.

Cornerstone Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Bishop Gorman, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Prestonwood Christian North at 4:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. As for Bishop Gorman, they will head out to square off against Cross Roads on Friday.
