Soccer Game Preview: West Hall vs. Jefferson

The West Hall Spartans will take on the Jefferson Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Hall has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with 13 straight defeats, while Jefferson will come in with six straight wins.

West Hall fell victim to Cherokee Bluff and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Bears. While losing is never fun, West Hall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 425th, while Cherokee Bluff are ranked 91st).

Meanwhile, Jefferson kept a clean sheet against Monroe Area on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Purple Hurricanes. Considering Jefferson have won six games by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jefferson's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for West Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.
