Recap: Okawville Rockets vs. Columbia Eagles
The Okawville Rockets suffered their biggest loss since December 22, 2023 on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 59-29 loss at the hands of Columbia. Okawville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-10.
Sam Donald was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds for Columbia. Donald hasn't dropped below 15points for six straight games.
Okawville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Columbia, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Okawville will square off against Marissa/Coulterville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia, they will head out on the road to take on Waterloo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waterloo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 257th, while Columbia is ranked 94th).
