Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lawrence Academy). They came out on top against the Faith Christian Patriots by a score of 80-73 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Nike Wiggins was his usual excellent self, going 13 for 24 on his way to 43 points in addition to five boards and five steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Lawrence Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Hoggard, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards.

When it comes to explaining why Faith Christian lost, don't look at NOAH MAYO. Despite the final result, he posted 26 points. MAYO is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. BLAYDE HINTON was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Lawrence Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Faith Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Lawrence Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 84-70 defeat against Northside - Pinetown on the 30th. As for Faith Christian, they will look to defend their home court on January 7, 2025 against Liberty Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. Liberty Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Faith Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
