Softball Recap: Marais Des Cygnes Valley Wins Going Away Against Yates Center

Marais des Cygnes Valley not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 14th (when they won 21-11). They blew past the Yates Center Wildcats 21-11. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Wildcats on Tuesday, they had to take a 6-5 loss.

Akyra Traver was incredible, going 4-for-6 with seven RBI, two triples, and two runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last 22 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Taytum Gellhaus, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and three RBI.

Marais des Cygnes Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .378. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win snapped Marais des Cygnes Valley's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-12 record. As for Yates Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

As of now, neither Marais des Cygnes Valley nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
