Softball Recap: Hickman County Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Hickman County waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Calloway County Lakers. Three seems to be a good number for the Falcons as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Blair Byassee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hickman County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Tucker, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Leah White also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Hickman County's victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Calloway County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-24.

As of now, neither Hickman County nor the Lakers have any future games scheduled.
