Softball Recap: Central Rebels vs. Bismarck Indians

Central scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Bismarck Indians as the Central Rebels made off with a 17-10 victory. With that win, Central brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Mallory Blankenship made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Blankenship was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, a triple, and a stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sydney Miles, who went 2-for-2 with a home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kelsie Politte, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

The victory got Central back to even at 3-3.

Central will challenge Kennett at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
