Basketball Recap: Point Pleasant Beach Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Point Pleasant Beach had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 44-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lacey Township Lions on Wednesday. The Garnet Gulls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Long Branch the next time they take the court. Lacey Township will host Long Branch at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Point Pleasant Beach will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
