Basketball Game Preview: South Windsor Bobcats vs. East Catholic Eagles

South Windsor is 0-10 against East Catholic since February of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The South Windsor Bobcats will challenge the East Catholic Eagles at 6:45 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

South Windsor is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Saturday. They took an 89-71 bruising from Manchester. One positive for the Bobcats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, East Catholic faced East Hartford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. East Catholic blew past East Hartford 71-49. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 22 points or more this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for East Catholic, bringing their record for this year to 15-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.5 points. As for South Windsor, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

South Windsor was taken down by East Catholic 82-30 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can South Windsor avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
