Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Leander). Everything went their way against the McNeil Mavericks on Saturday as the Leander Lions made off with an 18-2 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Leander and bumps their season record up to 5-2-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for McNeil, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Leander Lions duke it out with Liberty Hill Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McNeil, they will venture away from home to take on Rouse at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
