Volleyball Recap: Torrance Comes Up Short

Torrance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Palos Verdes Sea Kings. The Tartars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sea Kings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Torrance wouldn't go down easily and took Palos Verdes into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-13, 25-19, 19-25, 15-11.

Torrance's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Palos Verdes, they pushed their record up to 6-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Torrance didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Villa Park on the 15th. As for Palos Verdes, they will head out to face off against Wiseburn- Da Vinci at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
