Baseball Recap: Dawson-Boyd Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Dawson-Boyd won against Adrian/Ellsworth on Friday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Blackjacks didn't even let the Ortonville Trojans on the board, marking the Blackjacks' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Blackjacks have beaten the Trojans the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Trojans has come to flipping the script.

Tygan Long was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kameron Sather, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and three runs.

Dawson-Boyd pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.6 runs. As for Ortonville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
